The extension is in private testing. The score will stay free when it ships.
How it works
1
Open a listing
On Leboncoin or Vinted. Nothing to launch, nothing to paste.
2
The badge appears
In the corner of the page, with the score out of 100.
3
Every signal is listed with the weight it carried. No black box.
How the score is built
Every listing starts at 70. Each signal found adds to or subtracts from that figure, and the panel shows the arithmetic in full.
Reliable70 and above
Worth checking40 to 69
High riskbelow 40
Three of the signals it looks for
A score on its own is worth little. What matters is what is behind it, so the extension shows you, signal by signal.
Suspicious wording found: "off the platform"
−35
“Message me directly, we can settle it off the platform, it saves the fees.”
Leaving the platform removes the only recourse you have if the item never arrives. It is the common thread in most reported scams, and it carries the heaviest penalty of the whole engine.
Account created less than a month ago

Member for 11 days.
A new account proves nothing on its own. Next to an expensive item and a seller in a hurry, it is the usual shape of a throwaway profile.
Only one photo
−10
One picture, no close-up, no serial number, no sign of wear.
People selling something they own photograph it from several angles. A lone picture is often lifted from a catalogue. Three photos or more, on the other hand, earn ten points back.
It also looks at poor seller ratings, which the platforms bury under flattering averages: below 4.3 out of 5 already stands out.
A good reputation does not buy everything back
A seller with 438 reviews, on an eight-year-old account, asking to be paid by bank transfer outside the platform: TrustScan will never show that as trustworthy. Not because they are a crook, they probably are not, but because paying outside the platform leaves you without recourse if the parcel never arrives. The listing turns amber, the reason is spelled out, and you decide.
The badge, in place
A listing carrying all three signals above: 70 to start, minus 65, which lands at 5 out of 100 and the High risk level.
It also works on seller profiles
Open a seller profile rather than a listing and the badge scores the seller alone, on the same scale. Useful when several people are selling the same item and you have to choose one.
Nothing leaves your browser
The extension declares two host permissions, www.leboncoin.fr and www.vinted.fr, without which it could not read the page you are viewing. It declares no other: no tab access, no access to other sites, no network permission. Any request to a third-party server would be blocked by Chrome, and the extension makes none at all, not even to the two sites it reads.
The score is computed on the page you are already reading. Nothing is stored on a server, because there is no server.
Your licence is checked offline, by signature. Activating it makes no request either.
This website has no analytics, no cookies and no third-party script. That is why it never asked you to accept anything.
Check for yourself
You do not have to take our word for it. Open chrome://extensions, turn on developer mode, then click Details under TrustScan: Chrome itself lists every permission granted. You should read two allowed sites, leboncoin.fr and vinted.fr, and nothing else. The files of the installed extension can also be read on your disk, in the Chrome profile folder.
